Duration brackets
One price per window: $32.99 for a day, $42.99 for two, then a single $64.99 covers everything from 3 to 7 days.
Best for: Full-week Palmetto Dunes stays that can pick up in the resort (chairs, wagons, and strollers are pickup-only).
Day 3 and day 7 cost exactly the same — if you're renting for 3+ days, keep the bike all week; the extra days are free. Steepest day-one rate of the shops that publish, but the BOOKAHEAD code (20% off weekly, booked 40+ days out) closes most of the gap.

July 2026 - Family Vacation Excellent eBike Rental Experience We highly recommend renting eBikes from Hilton Head Outfitters and Bike Rentals. My wife and I rented eBikes for three days and had the best experience. Kaitlyn was excellent and made the reservation process so easy. We enjoyed riding the bikes on the beach during low tide. At the end of the day, we stopped at the garage to exchange our batteries to have a fresh one for the next day. The garage staff was courteous, fast and provided excellent service.

We rented fishing poles. The website says they have poles that are lined and ready to go. The poles we were provided weren’t rigged. They did not have any frozen or live bait to purchase only rubber bait. Barely had a selection of weights and hooks. When asked where good fishing spots; the girl said shelter cove marina. When we went to the marina millions of signs that said no fishing. They wouldn’t accept the palmetto dunes gift card. When we went to rent kayaks they refused to honor discount card that the front desk of palmetto dunes resort issued us when we checked in. They said only owners get discounts. We didn’t kayak with them. Because of these interactions we rented bikes from cross island bikes instead. We have used this company in the past for our biking, kayaking needs. However never dealt with staff that just doesn’t care before. Kayaking photo is from past trips.

Our family had a great experience renting kayaks and bikes here. The channels were beautiful and peaceful, and there were so many different types of water birds just a few feet away as we paddled by. Even though it was windy and cool out, the channels were calm and sheltered, which was a very pleasant surprise. TJ was friendly and professional getting us onto the water too. Later in the day we rented bikes, and Gary and TJ were awesome with the kids. Gary gave them a friendly and helpful demo that helped them be way more comfortable on their first beach bike ride, and TJ was again patient and kind with the kids as they tried to help with the bike and helmet pickup. The folks working the desk inside the main building were also great with the kids. We also appreciated the clean bathrooms, reasonable rental prices compared to renting from our hotel, and their flexible pickup and drop-off policy. For example, our 1 day rental was for 24 hours, so we didn't need to rush back by 5pm like some of the other rental options we had looked at.

Having the chance to explore the island on bicycles was the best thing we did during our stay. It was a completely different perspective. There were plenty of safe and well maintained trails to ride with the whole family. Equipment was well maintained and prices were really good. Our hotel charges for an hour bicycle rental about the same of what this place charges for the entire day instead. Great service and definitely recommend it.
